The markets have notably changed in the past six months, and we know that you have been aware of such changes. While we try to keep our prices as reasonable as possible, the markets dictate our standards. Beef and Pork prices are the two biggest price increases that you will notice. Please take note of our price lists- both for our retail store and our custom processing rates as they have changed considerably. Because the markets are ever-changing, we try to keep our public pricing lists as current as we are able to. The prices we have listed are current as of Friday, September 26, 2014.
We also want to announce some price and packaging changes we have made in regards to our deer customers. In the past we have charged an extra fee (50¢/lb) for our vacuum seal option for smoked deer meats (bologna, snack stix, summer sausage, etc.). This year, we have adjusted our pricing to include the vacuum seal packaging, which is why you will notice a price increase on the extra deer processing options. We have decided to do this for a number of reasons: first, we have had a larger demand for the vacuum seal packaging of smoked meats in the most previous seasons; second, the vacuum sealing helps to keep your smoked deer meat fresher for a longer period of time after you take it home; third, it makes the smoked deer meat easier to be frozen (so the customer can enjoy their meat over the course of a year, rather than a week or two); and lastly, it helps us to ensure that you’re receiving the freshest meat possible at pick-up.
